The club meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month except August and December.

The South Surrey Garden Club will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2009. Our club's membership is approximately 330. It is a club that offers general gardening experiences. We are very active with guest speakers at our monthly meetings, tips on gardening, a Show & Tell, an extensive library (books can be borrowed), raffle, plant sales, magazine exchange, and refreshments at our break.
Our Program Committee organizes: field trips (UBC walk, bus trips to nurseries to purchase plants), overnight trips (this year to Chilliwack./Harrison to go on a garden tour, visit nurseries), workshops (floral design, trough making, photography, Christmas wreath making), members garden tours.
We have an annual plant sale in May with a huge potluck for volunteers on set-up day; a flower garden show in June or July; a judged show; and last year we introduced a pie contest. We are a very active club.
