June 5-6, 2010

West Coast Bonsai Society present their Bonsai Show in the Courtyard of the Harry Jerome Recreation Centre at 123 East 23rd in North Vancouver.

Club members will display their Bonsai plants over the weekend in the exterior courtyard. The public will have a chance to vote on the "People's Choice Award", members will vote for the "Members Choice Award". Stop by to see the displays and talk to members of the club about the exhibits. In 2009, there were approximately 100 items on display.

June 26 - 27, 2010

Fraser Pacific Rose Society presents thier Annual Rose Festival and Show 2010 - "Staying Alive" with Roses! at the Dogwood Pavillion at 624 Poirier Street in Coquitlam, BC.

Saturday, June 26 from 1pm to 5pm; Sunday, June 27 from 11am to 4pm.

See hundreds of roses in vases, bowls, baskets, photography and artistic floral arrangements. Help to judge the most fragrant rose and People's Choice for floral design and commerical exhibitors. Floral themed crafters will be on site. Roses will be for sale.

July 3-4, 2010

Once again, The Aldergrove Daylily Societywill participate at the Annual Open House Event at Erikson's Daylily Gardens at 24642 - 51 Avenue in Langley, BC, from 10 am to 4 pm.

This gives everyone the perfect opportunity to view the gardens at peak bloom time with over 3,000 varieties of daylilies, lilies and hostas on display. The club will hold its annual fun auction, and the event will also feature the Vandusen Master Gardeners, other local exhibitors and light harp music.

Admission is by donation to Critter Care Wildlife Society in Langley.

Point Roberts Garden Club present their 11th Point Roberts Garden Tourof 10 unique gardens from 10 am to 4 pm, followed by high tea at the Luthern Church in Point Roberts. Tours are self-guided. Tickets are $15 (US or CDN) and can be purchased at the Blue Heron Gallery in Point Roberts.

BC Council of Garden Clubs Annual Fall Meeting, St. Helen's church auditorium. Details have not yet been finalized. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Registration Fee includes lunch and refreshments.

Guest speakers: Harry Jongerden ("The New Vandusen Gardens"); Zamir Punja, SFU ("New Plant Developments and Pest Control"); and Kristina Swerhun, Invasive Plant Council ("Invasive Weed Control").
